I'm Jenn Zappola, NYC wedding officiant, premarital coach, and the founder of Why Knot Wed.
I believe a wedding ceremony should be more than just the part before the reception—it should be one of the most meaningful moments of your day. As an officiant, I work closely with couples to create personalized ceremonies that reflect their unique love story, values, and vision for the future. My background in radio taught me the power of storytelling and the importance of connecting with people. Today, I bring that experience to every ceremony I perform, helping couples feel comfortable, supported, and fully present as they exchange their vows and begin the next chapter of their lives together.
In addition to officiating, I offer premarital coaching for couples who want to strengthen their foundation before marriage. Through thoughtful conversations focused on communication, expectations, conflict resolution, and connection. I help couples prepare not only for their wedding day, but for the marriage that follows.
What I love most about what I do is getting to know each couple and helping them create a meaningful beginning. Jenn was wonderful from the beginning. She sent us multiple versions of vows after interviewing us and we picked and chose from each to come up with our perfect vows.
