I'm Jenn Zappola, NYC wedding officiant, premarital coach, and the founder of Why Knot Wed.

I believe a wedding ceremony should be more than just the part before the reception—it should be one of the most meaningful moments of your day. As an officiant, I work closely with couples to create personalized ceremonies that reflect their unique love story, values, and vision for the future. Whether you're planning a wedding, elopement, vow renewal, or LGBTQ+ ceremonies, my goal is to create a ceremony that feels authentic, engaging, and truly yours.

My background in radio and television taught me the power of storytelling and the importance of connecting with people. Today, I bring that experience to every ceremony I perform, helping couples feel comfortable, supported, and fully present as they exchange their vows and begin the next chapter of their lives together.

In addition to officiating, I offer premarital coaching for couples who want to strengthen their foundation before marriage. Through thoughtful conversations focused on communication, expectations, conflict resolution, and connection, I help couples prepare not only for their wedding day, but for the marriage that follows.

What I love most about this work is getting to know each couple and helping them create a meaningful beginning.
